i have been thinking about what to do for my project... so far i have 2 ideas which i plan eventually doing... i dont know whether to use those ideas for this digital project. i really dont know what to do and it has been driving me banana sandwich trying to figure out what to do.
as far as the digital corrections go, i am buying a book through amazon so i can master photoshop. i have had a lot of trouble with the photo corrections and i have been unsuccessful in my attempts to restore every photo. i havent been working on any of the photos for the class, i have been working on my own. i am having a lot of trouble trying to color correct and restore a photo for my uncle because of the texture of the paper and the way it scans.

for that scanning texture there is not a super solution but here are a couple things to try.
ReplyDeleteWhile scanning look for a descreening checkbox in the scanning software. this will try to remove the pattern
In photoshop experiment with filters in the "noise" catagory. All of these techniques will 'soften' the image but that's not avoidable.
also doing a search for something.."remove scan texture in photoshop" would start to get you some tutorials and tips.
ReplyDeleteTechnically I think what you are seeing is called Moire Pattern but I'm cant be sure without seeing it...
