how my project came about...

yeah i know...my teeth are pretty bad!!!!!


so i have the most imperfect mouth!!! I HAVE TONS OF FILLINGS!...i had a toothache last week and i took pictures of the inside of my mouth to see if i could possible see a cavity or something. i found the images interesting because i never really look into peoples mouths... so i decided to make this my project. i want to expand it and i need to really start photographing other peoples mouths and see what ideas i get from the first round of photos i take...

its hard for me to understand why people would want to take a photo with their deceased loved one. the photos are eerie and but interesting. the people who are photographing the body is photographing an inanimate object.

in your mouth

Project Description:

I plan to take my camera and ask all the people around me to photograph inside their mouths. i want to get the details of the tongue teeth and anything else that can be found in there. I also plan on getting the sex,age of the mouth i am photographing. i also plan to focus on certain parts of the mouth and not the entire thing.

Conceptual Concerns:

I got the idea for this project last week when i had a tooth ache. it was really hard for me to look in my mouth with just a mirror, so i took a photo of the inside of my mouth and zoomed in...i was amazed at the detail that i found so this is what inspired me to take photos of other peoples mouths...

The rest of the description for my project is still under construction. as soon as i start taking the photos i will have a sense of direction of what i want to do with them.

lost and sleepless

i have been thinking about what to do for my project... so far i have 2 ideas which i plan eventually doing... i dont know whether to use those ideas for this digital project. i really dont know what to do and it has been driving me banana sandwich trying to figure out what to do.
as far as the digital corrections go, i am buying a book through amazon so i can master photoshop. i have had a lot of trouble with the photo corrections and i have been unsuccessful in my attempts to restore every photo. i havent been working on any of the photos for the class, i have been working on my own. i am having a lot of trouble trying to color correct and restore a photo for my uncle because of the texture of the paper and the way it scans.

PROCRASTINATION NATION!

I AM PROCRASTINATING! i have SOOO many things to do... but i havent done anything! i have to start writing a paper, finish A WHOLE BUNCH of photo corrections, print one photo project, start another photo project, clean my room, clean my closet, yeah... A WHOLE BUNCH OF SHIT! but of course i havent done anything... its hard to get motivated! its hard to get my mind racing and coming up with ideas, words, actions! hopefully i will do better tonight when i lose some sleep!

I AM LOST!

I have absolutely no idea what to do for my project. I have some ideas but i dont know which direction to take... damn.

i have no idea how to do this! is it necessary? i have never thought of copyrighting my images but since they are going to be put up on a website i wanted to know if i had to do this? anyone want to help me?
